GOODWINE 2017 has presented a perfect occasion for wine lovers to meet the best of what Romanian and European wine industry has to offer.

On the second day of the International Wine Fair, the diplomats from Institute of International Relations and Economic Cooperation, representing countries well branded as wine importers, had made a stop over to the diplomatic partner stand: DOMENIILE PANCIU, the creator of Romanian flagship wines: DIPLOMATIC WINE.

On the spot, the foreign dignitaries were greeted not only with good wine but also with sparkling wine that open the appetite for discussions and made the guest inquire more about the legendary land of Vrancea, a Romanian Champagne look a like.

PANCIU DOMAINS (DOMENIILE PANCIU) is the new name under which the Vrancea winemaker`s from CASA PANCIU (HOUSE OF PANCIU) has decided to conquer the world with the new phenomenon of sparkling wines.

The new names highlighted on the international sparkling wines market are: Blanc de Blancs and Cuvée Prestige, both commercialized on limited editions, available only on HORECA and specialized wine stores.


The diplomats on the venue requested an opening of the tasting with the famous Cuvée Prestige and Mr. Eugen Odainii, the PANCIU DOMAINS representative acknowledge the request and started a detailed presentation of the new and enticing sparkling wine.

To achieve a perfect balanced and special sparkling wine: Domeniile Panciu Cuvée Prestige, the winemaker`s blended in the perfect XVII century tradition of Dom Perignon wines from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and for a touch of modernity added some Fetească Regală (Royal Girl).

The sparkling wine is fully complying with the world known classic recipe of Dom Perignon, the friar who invented the perfect fizzy wine.The magnificent beverage is the result of bottled secondary fermentation coupled with special cave maturation during 18 months and disgorging  „à la volée” (without bottle refrigeration) that is fully preserving the exceptional flavor and created a sparkling wine of amazing quality and benefiting the uniqueness of Panciu area terroir.

The colour is yellowish and with pastry flavoure that is transforming slowly in a after-taste of honey and dried fruits.

The specialized tasters are describing the palate as profound and rich with aromas of dried apricot, roasted nuts and a pinch of  tropical fruits that evolves in a after-taste long-lasting and reinvigorating that is making us day dreaming on fines french pastry.

​The second beverage on the tasting list, a result of the legendary Vrancioaia son`s ability, was Blanc de Blancs (the french for: White of Whites).

Here also, the spokesperson for DOMENIILE PANCIU has quite some stories to tell with good measure to do so as Blanc de Blancs is considered the most refined of all the sparkling wines ever created with classic methods.

On the account of the specificity of the land (terroir) of Panciu vineyard, the wine used to make the sparkling wine has developed unique capabilities unmatched in the world, specific to the high acidity lands.

The bottle fermentation and ageing process, in special conditions for a period of over 18 months, are bringing to the glasses a special aromatic sparkling wine, full of palates ranging from of lily of the valley, white flower fields and lime, all surrounded in discrete mineral aroma and flavour of freshly baked bread out of the oven.

Pentru  realizarea acestui deosebit vin spumant: Domeniile Panciu Cuvée Prestige – Chardonnay, Pinot Noir și Fetească Regală  oenologii de la Domeniile Panciu au ales să facă un cuvée din 2 soiuri internaționale de struguri – Chardonnay şi Pinot Noir alături de vedeta podgoriei – soiul românesc, Feteasca Regală.

Prin fermentarea secundară la sticlă a cupajului de vin, maturarea în condiţii speciale timp de minim 18  luni şi degorjarea „à la volée” (fără refrigerarea buteliei), s-a reuşit păstrarea rafinamentul spumantelor în stilul vestitului călugăr Dom Perignon completat de amprenta terroir-ului de Panciu.

Culoarea este galben pai și simțim aromele de cozonac care evoluează treptat în arome de fructe albe uscate şi miere de albine.

Gustul complex de smochine, caise uscate, nuci prăjite şi uşoare note de citrice e prelungit de un postgust persistent şi plăcut care ne duce cu gândul la produsele de patiserie fină frantuzească.

A urmat la degustare o altă bijuterie a fiilor Vrâncioaei, un spumant care ne-a transportat imediat pe străzile Parisului prin aromă: Blanc de Blancs.

​Şi aici purtătorul de cuvânt al DOMENIILOR PANCIU a avut a ne furniza explicaţii interesante: un spumant catalogat de Domeniile Panciu sub numele de Blanc de Blancs şi considerat drept cel mai fin dintre toate vinurile efervescente fabricate prin diverse metode clasice.

United States President Donald Trump and Kingdom of Cambodia Prime Minister, Academician HUN SEN  (Cambodia has won  WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION status in 2016)


EJTT special correspondent to Washington reports on the events preparing the taking over of the new Trump administration and mostly tries to see what will spell for the future of tourism industry.

The new United States President Donald John Trump is taking office and in his inaugural address he promised a bright future for US tourism: placing the country on World Best Tourism Destination list, making historical cities on Eastern Coast of United States to be recognized as World Capital of Culture, all are on the to do list of the new administration drafted by the new President on his first day in office, writes European Journal of Tourism Washington correspondent.

But the analysts are not so convinced that Trump effect on tourism will be this positive. The Telegraph ask the readers : Who will visit an America ruled by Donald Trump? – and make a prophecy that not too many.

The New York Times in a central editorial make`s the same point: What Impact Will Trump Have on Tourism?


Government of Zimbabwe has express glee on the news of electoral win of President Donald Trump, a known friend to President Robert Mugabe (Zimbabwe-World Best Tourist Destination in 2014).

Donald J. Trump  promises that he will put his managerial skills in the benefit of world tourism.

The analysis result sounds cautious: new immigration procedures that make the customs and border process harder, the scrutiny of particular groups of people); and the perception of how welcoming and safe (or not) the United States is are growing to weigh heavily on the future of US tourism.

Tourism is all about optimism and confidence and the new US President Donald Trump Jr. vaunted in his inaugural address that: we will make US great for all who comes to visit it, make it a World Best Tourist Destination country!

European Council on Tourism and Trade announced on December 28, 2016 the reinforcement of his team of research and trade development with the appointment of Mr. Gabriel Rasvan Toader, as special adviser on trade and industry related issues.​


Mr. Gabriel Rasvan Toader is a specialist in the field of trade, industrial policies and business development, former director general in Romanian Government.

During a fifteen years career he was responsible for international trade and developing law and research in the field of business growth, he is also a specialist in medium and small business development and has being member of the special governmental panel responsable for european law and for supporting free movement of work force and measures for combating european un-employment.

​He is also a recognized expert in policies for fisheries, customs and management of public institutions.

He received the Special Diploma for Cooperation in Balkan Region (Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia etc.).

He developed projects in Austria (Vienna), Belgium (Brussels), France (Paris) and Bonn-Germany and (Geneva) Switzerland.

Mr. Gabriel Rasvan will bring his international expertise and business environment connection to the benefit of a world-wide and european wide agenda for trade development.

His expertise must support the research groups of European Academy and the activities of European Council on Tourism and Trade (ECTT), in the field of international trade and banking, underlined during the appointment ceremony Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, ECTT President.

The 2016 International Travel Fair get the cutting ribbon ceremony in the presence of President, Ambassadors and MPs.

​The official visit of ECTT President Dr. Anton Caragea, marking the opening of Autumn 2016-International Tourism Fair at the ROMEXPO Hall, in Bucharest, has taken place.


President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, Academician Mircea Constantinescu and their retinue had visited the tourism market, cut the ribbon given the offficial start of the activities and presented from the pulpit the main characteristics of the 2017 year in tourism.



The 18 November official tour of the exhibition had taken place under The High Patronage of President of European Council on Tourism and Trade.

On this occasion Professor Dr. Anton Caragea-President of European Council on Tourism and Trade has made the official tour of honour for all the pavilions that promoted outbound and inbound tourism,  accompanied by a delegation of members of European Parliaments and the usual retinue of governmental officials.

The Bucharest-International Tourism Fair has garnered the most important tourism companies that outlined special offers for the lovers of cultural tourism, medical tourism and wellness, rural and business related tourism but also presented offers for aficionados of cruises, exotic destinations and adventure tourism.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had toured the areas dedicated to the promotion of wine tourism and stressed his office support for wine discovery based tourism programs, that are allowing visitors to familiarized themselves with Europe`s natural beauties but also to taste the incredible European wines.

CAMBODIA HAS REGISTERED 26% INCREASE IN TOURISM AFTER BEING NAMED WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION

​Radical tourism growth after the Kingdom of Cambodia was officialy recognised as WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION FOR 2016 


According to World Bank, The Kingdom of Cambodia will enjoy a robust economic growth in 2016 of more than 7%, thanks in no small part to the recent growth in tourism sector.


The arrivals in the Kingdom are at a historic high in 2016.

In 2015 the numbers of tourists and investment has slow down, but in 2016 as the country was elected WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION and H.E. Prime Minister of Cambodia - Samdech HUN SEN declared tourism as a priority, the situation has significantly turn around of staggering 26% increase in the numbers of tourism entering the country.


Phnom Penh arrivals, after the country was elected as FAVORITE CULTURAL DESTINATION, grow by 7% and Siem Reap arrivals where up by 11% after the previous month.The challenges ahead are still there as the country needs to attract more airlines for direct flights in order to transform Cambodia from a seasonal destination to an all year/ all seasons destination.

Luu Meng, president of the Cambodian Hotel Association, said despite the importance of the Chinese market—which airlines have been increasingly tapping into—Cambodia also needs to focus on securing direct flights from other countries as well as promoting destinations outside Angkor Wat.Cambodian tourism sector perfect development on 2016, has become a World Model on the occasion of World Tourism Day.

  OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT OF EUROPEAN COUNCIL      ON TOURISM AND TRADE has announced that H.E.      President Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had graciously    accepted the charge of AMBASSADOR OF KINGDOM OF  CAMBODIA, encharged with the promotion of  Kingdom rich cultural and historical heritage in the  world.

  This will not be the only appointment of this kind, by    the end of 2017, President Dr. ANTON CARAGEA will  become also ambassador of diverse countries      representing each continent of the world.

 Embarking in his new activity as WORLD TOURISM    PROMOTER AND CULTURAL AMBASSADOR, H.E.          Professor Dr. Anton Caragea accepted his appointment  as Ambassador for Kingdom of Cambodia and will  accept similar positions from a host of countries from  Asia, Africa, South and North America and Europe in order to achieve a universal coverage of the most impressive countries in terms of cultural heritage, tourism potential and give tourism a world wide span and in order to insure the perfect neutrality of his high office as President of European Council on Tourism and Trade.

Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had agreed to accept the role of Global Ambassador for Kingdom of Cambodia and will start the activities on the occasion of WORLD TOURISM DAY on 27 September 2016.


On July 15th 2016, the Royal Government of His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia had proclaimed that on: the virtue of his constitutional prerogatives had approved the appointment of His Excellency Professor Dr. Anton Caragea as Kingdom first global ambassador.

The role of the Ambassador office will be to contribute in the promotion of cultural and tourism profile of the Kingdom, with all the rights, prerogatives and obligations conferred upon the role of Ambassador.

The appointment come in well deserved recognition of the cultural and tourism world level promotion activities implemented with outstanding success by H.E. Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

On August 30, 2016 , Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had announced that he accepted the task to internationally represent the Kingdom of Cambodia.The Kingdom of Cambodia represents a world example for cultural protection of a patrimony vital for humanity: the heritage of Khmer Empire.

On the point of view of importance and significance of historical patrimony Cambodia is part of a very selective circle that encompass no more than 10 nations on world level from the point of view of cultural significance.Cambodia is also benefiting from an impressive natural patrimony, that come as a completion of my mandate, started in 2011, as World Ambassador for World Protected Areas and National Parks, so the two actions can be competed together, stated Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.


Amongst the first actions toping the agenda of the new Ambassador we can highlight: the launch a world-wide campaign to promote the paragon role of Cambodia`s cultural and historical heritage, giving a new impetus of economic, tourism and cultural connections between European countries and the Kingdom of Cambodia and carving a program of cultural and ecological investments in sustainable agricultural projects in silk and rice farms in Cambodia.

Cambodia and Ethiopia have been selected to be the official model countries for World Tourism Day (WTD) in 2016, at the ECTT General Assembly.

Kingdom of Cambodia was elected as WORLD BEST TOURISM DESTINATION FOR 2016 signaling world community appreciation for the country huge potential.

 World Tourism Day 2016 will be celebrated under the theme of “Tourism is an educator to us all” emphasizing the role of culture, historical patrimony as driving vector for tourism and travel in the world.

“This year theme of world community is concentrated around the role of CULTURE AND HISTORY in shaping our life`s and destinies.Culture is the bedrock of societies, nations and civilizations.We have to put the world at the right hour: the hour of culture, of history, of civilization!

Culture and history must be recognized not as resource consuming, but as major economic factors, that helps countries to develop and enrich themselves in more ways than just simple economic value announced President of World Tourism Institute-European Council on Tourism and Trade, Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

I am looking with interest to celebrate World Tourism Day in collaboration with these two prominent powers in culture and tourism: Cambodia and Ethiopia ”, said Ambassador Tiberius Puiu from ECTT President Office.

On 22 June 2016, the official ceremonies of handover of WORLD BEST TOURISM DESTINATION AWARD insignia to the highest representative of people and government of Cambodia: H.E. Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo- Dr. HUN SEN has taken place on the venue of Peace Palace in Phnom Penh. Congratulatory speeches were presented by Minister of Tourism of Cambodia-Dr. Thong Khon, ECTT President- Professor Dr. Anton Caragea, and European Tourism Academy-Academician Mircea Constantinescu.

2016-AFRICA DAY CELEBRATION`S carved by European Council on Tourism and Trade

ECTT President, Professor Dr. Anton Caragea has hosted the 2016 Africa Day celebration, on June 1st at the Diplomatic Club, a moment that is the culmination of the celebrations of Africa month in May 2016, across Europe and European Council on Tourism and Trade member countries.


Africa Day is celebrated annually on 25 May, within the African continent to mark the formation of the Organisation of African Unity on 25 May 1963 and the African Union in 2002 and the progress made by the continent since then to advance democracy, peace, stability and socio-economic development via tourism betterment.

The ceremony, held under European Council on Tourism and Trade banner, has brought together representatives from tourism institutes, research centers, diplomatic centers from across the continent.



Nigeria, Benin, Mali, Sudan, Senegal and Congo Brazzaville are among the countries that have sent delegates to the celebration.

 European Council on Tourism and Trade joined the efforts to foster the trade and tourism exchanges between  the continent and the international community.

“Africa Day provides an opportunity for us to celebrate our African efforts in promoting tourism in the continent, to foster development, to insure the tourists that Africa is a safe, astonishing and welcoming destination.

We will always love Ethiopian people and support Ethiopian tourism development and country growth and affirmation in the world.” said President Caragea.

The Federal Republic of Nigeria Ambassador express clearly the feelings of the participants: We love ECTT-European Council on Tourism and Trade! for what opportunities and occasions had brought to Africa.


  

More than 100.000 jobs are now created in the last two years, in African tourism sector, and all  this is a recognition of the efforts carved out by European Council on Tourism and Trade to promote our continent.Not only Ethiopia and Zimbabwe benefited, but all the nations of the region have being encouraged in developing tourism and tourist were enlisted in discovering African continent!Thank you Professor Caragea !, concluded the ambassador.

The city of Madrid was on 21 October 2015 the platform for launching the 13 issue of European Journal of Tourism and Trade.

The special publication of European Council on Tourism and Trade was put to the fore of world tourism with a presentation of ETHIOPIA-WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION FOR 2015.

The issue highlighted to the world tourism readership the main features of tourism in Ethiopia, the landmarks of Ethiopian tourism visited by European Council on Tourism and Trade delegation,   the reasons for electing Ethiopia as the perfect cultural destination and a touristic guide to Ethiopia.

LAOS PLANS TO SCORE ANOTHER VICTORY IN WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION COMPETITION

After being elected WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION FOR 2013 and Favorite Cultural Destination in 2013 Laos has become a beacon of tourism in the Indochina region. 

Already 40 hotels, including five international chains, are scheduled to open in Laos over the next five years as the country becomes a more popular tourist destination.


Yang Fu Ning, general manager of Don Chan Palace, a luxury hotel in Vientiane, said international brands Ramada, InterContinental, Crown Plaza, Sofitel and Marriott were set to open hotels in the capital by 2019.


Three global brands - Mercure, Ibis and Best Western - have already opened their doors in Vientiane, and one regional brand has entered the World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang to cash in the World Best Tourist Destination status of the country. 


Furthermore, 25-30 three- and four-star hotels are set to open in the capital, with some in other tourist cities. 


In the first year after receiving World`s Favorite Cultural Destination " we registered 3.7 million arrivals last year, generating income of US$600 million.


The government aims for 3.9 million tourists this year. 


The number of arrivals should reach 10 million within five years but we need another success in WORLD BEST TOURIST DESTINATION to consolidate our status. 

The number of American and European tourists has significantly increased in recent years.


Currently, seven foreign airlines, including Thai Airways International, AirAsia and Bangkok Airways, and two local carriers are operating in and out Laos. Some of these airlines run charter flights during high season.

Two years ago, the European Council on Tourism and Trade named Laos the "World's Best Tourist Destination for 2013", which put the country on the global tourism map especially for its rich history, culture, traditions and natural beauty.

On the rostrum of World Best Tourist Destination for 2015 Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has held a powerful speech expressing his confidence in Ethiopia`s tourism sector development.

On this important world tourism ceremony H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn was recognized by European Tourism Academy as a World Leader of Tourism and a member of honor of European Tourism Academy by Academician Mircea Constantinescu and in the presence of European Council on Tourism and Trade  President.

The Premier received the insignia`s of European Council on Tourism and Trade from European President-Professor  Dr. Anton Caragea at a public function held at the National Palace yesterday.

ECTT declared Ethiopia as the perfect winner of  World Best Tourist Destination and Favorite Cultural Destination Distinction for 2015.

“This grant further motivates Ethiopia to offer more noteworthy social and vacation destinations and administrations to sightseers over the world,” PM Hailemariam said subsequent to accepting the grant.

The legislature of Ethiopia is resolved to ensure and safeguard authentic and social legacies and “we trust it is in this acknowledgment of this one of a kind game plan in addition to other things that ECTT chose to stretch out to Ethiopia the world best traveler destination recompense.”

The stream of vacationers to Ethiopia has developed altogether amid the most recent decade as the nation had the capacity give better administrations that urged travelers to invest longer energy and investigate Ethiopia’s surprising and wonderful attractions, he said.
