On the occasion of WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY, European Council on Tourism and Trade President-Professor Dr. Anton Caragea had attended the celebration gathering on the premises of the world travel institution-ECTT.
The European Council on Tourism and Trade welcomes World Humanitarian Day-2015 celebrated the world over as an occasion to increase awareness of the public at large of the importance of humanitarian assistance and international cooperation in this area.
Under the campaign “Share Humanity,” launched by the United Nations in 2015 to mark World Humanitarian Day, the European Council on Tourism and Trade pays homage to all humanitarian workers who take risks and make personal sacrifices every day to help victims of conflicts, violence or natural disasters.
In that context, European Council on Tourism and Trade firmly condemns any threat or attack against humanitarian workers and joins the appeals to protect their safety, as per the provisions of international humanitarian law.
